About Me

My name is Lesley Reed and I am an animal and pet portrait artist.

I am originally from the United Kingdom, born and raised in and around the beautiful city of Bath in the south west of England, I am now residing in Pennsylvania, USA after a move with my family in 2015.

My art experience stems back from early childhood. Growing up I had a love of both animals and art and that love has never changed into adulthood. My artistic talent was spotted early by both my parents and teachers as I grew up, especially after winning my first art competition during my infant school years.

My art education progressed after school into college where I recieved my BTEC 1st Diploma in Art & Design at Trowbridge College in Wiltshire and then my BTEC National Diploma and Higher National Diploma in Industrial Design at the Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design.

It wasn't until I left college and began a career in retail that I started taking an interest in doing pet portraiture starting with one of my own dog and then others of other much loved pets of other family members.

It is not just fine art that I take a keen interest in. I enjoy trying out different art styles and mediums as well as crafting. 

It is in recent years I have taken up producing laser engraved gifts as well as custom printing, allowing customers to give an extra special gift with their portrait printed on items including mugs and coasters.
